I 2018 var det 100 år siden lyrikeren og poeten Hans Børli ble født. Albumet har blitt til basert på en jubileumsforestilling i Halden der Terje Norum hadde plukket ut dikt og satt musikk til disse etter initiativ fra Eva Stømner.
Terje Norum har tonesatt et knippe av Børlis dikt som er relevante for mennesker i dagens samfunn. Musikalsk beveger Norum seg vekk fra den tradisjonelle visetradisjonen og over i pop-sjangeren, noe som er med på å gjøre Børlis diktning tilgjengelig for flere. For å fargesette dette har han brukt Trond Granlunds stemme og musikerne Knut Reiersrud, Anders Engen, Audun Erlien og seg selv.
Kombinasjonen av kreative musikere i studio med Anders Engen som produsent og Mike Hartungs mix, har gjort at dette kanskje er blitt en av Trond Granlunds beste plateinnspillinger noensinne.
