Jeca i Meda se vole. Vole se već trinaest godina, iskreno i potpuno. Jeca želi da se venčaju da bi se voleli još više. Meda nikako ne želi da se venčaju, kako se posle ne bi voleli manje. Pet minuta pred zakazan termin u opštini, njih dvoje pronalaze kompromis – u tih pet minuta će se igrati braka, videti kako im ide i onda odlučiti.
Kroz ovaj jednostavan, duhovit zaplet, Miloš Radović se maestralno poigrava svim arhetipskim situacijama koje nosi jedan muško-ženski odnos. Autor uspeva nemoguće – da krivicu i zasluge podeli na ravne časti, pri tom vešto i oprezno igrajući na tankoj ivici između dinamične komedije i nežne monodrame.
Sve to uopšte ne bi bio toliko smešno i zabavno da to dvoje večitih protivnika nisu neizlečivo vezani jedno za drugo. Na kraju krajeva, Čorba od kanarinca jeste komad o ljubavi.
