Description

(For English, scroll down)

ENGLISH:

Those who love diversity open borders! Come and see diversity from all corners of the world! "The Present of the Past: The World's Intangible Cultural Heritage" is a cultural festival with national dishes, music, dance, traditions, arts, crafts, social customs and much more!

For many groups of people, the intangible cultural heritage is a source of identity with anchoring in history. Its intangible nature makes it particularly vulnerable and is therefore disappearing because of globalization, conflicts and our fast-changing lifestyle. The project "The Present of the Past: The World's Intangible Cultural Heritage" calls to preserve this heritage and convey it to the next generations by stimulating cultural work and increasing cultural competence. Professional actors from all corners of the world are coming to show up on one of the Oslo's leading stages, Cosmopolite, to demonstrate this beauty and start a debate on experience exchange and sustainable development.

The project is supported by UNESCO Norway, LNU - Norway's Child and Youth Organizations, Frifond, Oslo Municipality, Oslo Music Council.
