I januar 1973 erobret «Balladen Om Morgan Kane» førsteplassen på den første Norsktoppen -og det av en svenske! Det ble startskuddet på en karriere som har vart i, ja nettopp, 50 år - en karrierereise uten sidestykke i Norsk Showbiz-historie. I 1970-og 80-årene tapetserte Benny Borg Norsktoppen med den ene hiten etter den andre. Ved ett tilfelle hadde han hele fire låter liggende der samtidig!
Balladen om Morgan Kane 50 år blir med andre ord en hitparade av en konsert hvor du også får historien bak låtene og karrieren til svensken som endelig er blitt norsk.
