Sylvisphere ringte en lørdag i august for å høre om muligheten for å spille på Chateau Neuf. Litt avventende før man får hørt musikken og man er kresen! Men etter mailen med linker til spennende opptredener, interessante avisoppslag om bandet og et møte med en av artistene i bandet her på Chateau Neuf så var saken biff. Vi ryddet plass fredag 30. oktober. Vi gleder oss skikkelig til en garantert særegen og flott konsert. Setter du også av datoen? Velkommen!

Sylvisphere fra Porsgrunn er et eksperimentelt livemusikkonsept med flytende lydbilder, blandet med støy, rock og jazzete improvisasjon. Musikken skapes av tradisjonelle og utradisjonelle instrumenter i nye kontekster, og hjemmesnekrede instrumenter (lysharpe, lyskontrollert oscillator, sjakksequencer og mye annet), kombinert med elektronikk og programmering. Vi bruker også egne visuelle effekter (stroboskopisk fjærstativ, prosjektoreffekter, videoprosjisering) som gir en ekstra dimensjon til musikken.
Sylvisphere er Jarl Einar Ottestad, Bjørn Nikolaisen og Ekaterina Pliassova.
