Roosterhouse ble startet i Hof i Vestfold 2012! Godt over 100 år med aktiv musikkglede bleda forenet. Bandet ble startet etter en forespørsel om å være jam-verter på Bellman Pub under Notodden Bluesfestival. Det har ført til at bandet har vært vertsband for den offisiellebluesjam'en der 10 ganger, samt et år under Notodden Bluesweekend (2020), mellom 2012 og 2024.
Ellers har bandet spilt på en lang rekke bluesklubber, puber/utesteder og på festivaler. ColorLine Blues-Cruise til Kiel i 2017 /2023, Notodden Bluesfestival 2023/2024, DrøbakHavnefestival i 2018 og to konserter på Gran Canaria i 2023 har vært noen høydepunkter sålangt.
Bandet spiller en gumbo av blues-stilarter. Entusiasme, glede og kjærlighet til
musikken ligger alltid bak det som gjøres! I tillegg til medlemmer fra Svelvik, Holmestrandog Kongsberg, ble den lokale BluesBoogie-pianisten Gjermund «HAWKER» Haakerud fraAustmarka en del av bandet i 2021.
Bandet ga ut cd'en "Let out the Boogie" i 2018. Den inneholder 15 egenskrevne låter ogfikk god kritikk i Blues News. Cd'en har også fått gode anmeldelser i belgiske og
nederlandske bluesfora.
BESETNING:
"Screamin Roger", Roger Wang Eriksen; vokal/munnspill, har tidligere spilt med bl.a.
J. B. and the Delta Jukes og Rivertown Ramblers.
Roger er en solid og særpreget vokalist med lang fartstid og banderfaring i musikkmiljøet i Drammensområdet.
"Dr With", Sverre With; gitar, har tidligere spilt med bl.a Svelvikstrømmen Bluesband, Blues Enough, Elin and the Blue Boys og Blues Believers.
Sverre er en allsidig og rutinert gitarist med lang fartstid i band, helt tilbake til tidlig på 1960-tallet!
"Professor Kristiansen", Jon Kristiansen; bass, har tidligere spilt med bl.a. Blues Enough, Elin and the Blue Boys, Blues Believers og Blues in a Cop. Jon er en stødig og solid bassist med lang banderfaring, helt tilbake til midten av 1970- tallet.
"The Rhythm and Gambler Man" , Jørn Olafsen; trommer, har tidligere spilt på hest!, men også med Soul of Fire, Steff Nevers og Blues Believers.
Jørn spiller også i bandet The Mule Company.
"Hawker", Gjermund Haakerud; Piano/Gitar/Vokal Tidligere frontmann i "HAWKER Blues & Boogie Band» Suveren og rutinert pianist og vokalist som er en "råtass" på Boogie-Woogie! Han har også spilt i «The River Hip Bluesband» og i «HAWKER & The BluesBoogie»
