Påskekonsert i Kviteseid kyrkje, onsdag 31.03.21 kl. 19.00.
Vi inviterer denne gangen til påskekonsert før vi går inn dei tyngste dagane i kyrkjeåret. Komponisten Joseph Haydn har komponert dette verket over dei sju siste setningane Jesus sa før han døyde. Mange kyrkjer har det som ein tradisjon å framføre akkurat dette verket i påska. Kanskje kan det bli slik i Kviteseid også?
Kvartetten består av Angelika og Trond Arne Karsrud på fiolin og bratsj, Anna Carlsen Waldingbrett på Cello og Ingri Elise Engeland på fløyte. Vi har også fått med oss Møyfrid Lunde, presten i Kviteseid kyrkje, til å lese teksta og dele sine refleksjonar rundt dette.
Jesus ord på korset er ei samling frå dei fire evangelia med det som skal være ytra av Jesus under korsfestinga. I katedralen i Cádiz, Spania, hadde kyrkja ei spesiell formidling av korsfestinga. Joseph Haydn fekk i oppdrag å skildre dette med musikk. I 1785 kom resultatet: Eit verk i sju satsar, og i tillegg ei innleiing og eit avsluttande jordskjelv: Il terremoto. Ved urframføringa på langfredag var katedralen innhylla i mørke. Jesus-orda vart framført og tolka av biskopen frå preikestolen. Deretter knelte han ved alteret, etter kvar av dei sju utsegnene.
