The Oslo Writers League, in partnership with Dråpen i Havet, proudly invite you to the launch of our fifth anthology, In Darkness and Light, a collection of stories and poetry exploring life in and out of the shadows.
Dråpen i Havet seeks to bring light to those in their darkest days. The members of OWL believe that all people deserve to be seen and heard, and that though art is often born of hardship, the lack of basic human rights can crush the will to create it. As such, all proceeds from book sales and other funds raised at this event will go to Dråpen i Havet to aid their tireless work with refugees. We hope the support we provide will help lift the curtain of darkness that hangs over those fleeing in fear and give them back the freedom to speak, write, sing, and create.

Live Performances!
On the night, you will hear readings from the book and, thanks to their incredible willingness to support both OWL and Dråpen i Havet, we're so proud to welcome these very special guests to the stage to sing for you:
- Multi-platinum international recording and performing artist Chris Medina (follow him on Instagram!)
- Sol Heilo and Jon Bjørnstad
- The Mundi Musica choir, directed by OWL member Bree Switzer

Drinks and further copies of In Darkness and Light, as well as previous OWL anthologies will be available to purchase. Please note that alcohol will be served at this event and entrance is therefore restricted to ages 20 and over.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your OWL Book Launch: In Darkness and Light tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
