Et teaterstykke om byens tidlige histore og historien om Nonneseter kloster.
Nonneseter Kloster ble grunnlagt på første halvdel av 1100-tallet. Klosteret tilhørte benediktinerordenen og var trolig en kongelig grunnleggelse og var i drift frem til 1528 da det blir gitt til lensherren på Bergenhus, Vincent Lunge.
Og det er disse fire hundre årene stykket tar for seg. Gjennom korte scener fra kjente og mindre kjente hendelser vokser historien frem og kommer til live. Her møter man soldatene som søker ly for borgerkrigens trusler, husmennene på Hunstad som søker hjelp mot pesten og ikke minst kvinnene som søker seg til kloster, enten det er rikmannsdatteren som sendes i kloster mot sin vilje, eller det er kvinner som søker en trygg havn for bønn og arbeid.
