Etter sterkt ønske fra både Ola Onabulé og DIOC om et nytt samarbeid ønskes det varmt velkommen til Mo i Rana!
Mr. Onabulé har med nye låter og arrangementer i bagasjen, og er klar for å skape en magisk aften med to konserter på Hovedscenen ved Nordland Teater!
Ola Onabulé er en britisk-nigeriansk sanger og låtskriver med en imponerende karriere som strekker seg over to tiår. Han ble født i London, men tilbrakte store deler av sin ungdom i Lagos, Nigeria, før han vendte tilbake til Storbritannia for å studere. Onabulé begynte sin musikalske reise med opptredener i Londons klubber, hvor han fremførte sitt eget materiale.
Onabulé har gitt ut flere album på sitt eget plateselskap, Rugged Ram Records, og har opptrådt på noen av verdens mest prestisjefylte jazzfestivaler og konsertsaler, inkludert Montreal Jazz Festival og Istanbul Jazz Festival. Onabulé er kjent for sin kraftfulle stemme og sin evne til å formidle følelser gjennom musikken. Hans unike blanding av soul, jazz og afrikanske rytmer gjør ham til en artist som treffer publikum på tvers av sjangre og generasjoner

Smeltedigelen musikkfestival leverer rytmisk musikk av høy kvalitet som et lyspunkt i høstmørket. Festivalen arrangeres hver høst i Mo i Rana, med 20-30 konserter over 3-4 dager. Vi streber mot å levere publikum flere unike opplevelser i form av sjangre som jazz, verdensmusikk, blues, folkemusikk, tradisjonsmusikk samt flere. Hovedvekten er på nasjonale og internasjonale musikere, samtidig som vi inviterer lokale ressurser som kor, storband og jazz- og bluesmusikere der vi har mulighet.
