Etter 30 år, 5 album, en «best of» plate, mye radiospilling – ikke minst på NRK P1, diverse singler, priser og utmerkelser har Matti sneket seg inn manges hjerter. «Tøffe tider», «Stjålen båt», «Lyseblå hagestolar», «Fra vett og forstand», «Her komme sommaren», «La meg få drømma», «Sånn livet e’», «Kanskje Maria», «Søster Cecilie» og resten av gjengen. Matti har nok sanger til å fylle en hel konsert med vakre viser, folkpopperler, sommerlåter og radiohits. Det eneste beviset man har på at tiden ikke har stått stille er at ferja har lagt til kai for siste gang.
