DÅRLIG HJORT
Dårlig Hjort er en æddabædda poppunk powertrio fra Oslo, hvis alle medlemmer har vokst opp i en stereotypisk Disneyfilm; ingen fedre som stakk av,ingen mødre på trygd, ingen brekte ben, men alltid den ene jenta som slapp unna eller sommerferien med gutta som skulle vart lenger. Musikken gjenspeiler 90-tallets ska og poppunk-kultur, med innflytelse fra band som Descendents, Rancid, Sublime, blink-182 og NOFX. Tekstene sirkulerer stort sett rundt temaer som å vokse opp, ramle utafor, se tilbake eller å bli forelska. Uhyre orginalt og opp i dagen, med andre ord.Bandet har siste året gjort seg bemerket med energiske live show og kleine vitser.
Debutalbumet «Kunne vært verre» er et snaut dusin skildringer av tidvis enkle og tidvis vanskelige temaer som preger en gammel ungdoms eller tidlig voksens hverdag -kanskje aller mest overgangen mellom de to. Det dreier seg om forelskelse, fest og fyllesjuke, menogså presset om jobb, karriere, forventninger og plikter som følger med. «Noen ganger skulle vi ønske vi bare kunne rømme fra alt og ligge i en hengekøye på en øde øy med sola i øya. Samtidig anerkjenner vi at det er mange som har det ganske mye kjipere enn oss. Det kunne vært verre.»
Albumet ble sluppet på HighTen Records den 28.01.16på lillescenen på Parkteatret (Oslo).Konsertenvar fullstendig utsolgt. All lyd er produsert i PhatCat Studio og Thirdblock Productions v/Benjamin Lossius produserte de to tilhørende musikkvideoene.
SUPPORT: Kompass
Etter et år på skrivestadiet tar Eivinn Arctander skrittet ut på scena med hans nye prosjekt Kompass. Han har hentet inspirasjon fra de typisk New Jersey-punkerne og lager enkel, norsk rock med aner av punk og et lite hint av country. Låtene er drevet av Arctanders sterke vokal og han har fått med seg geniet Magnus Karoliussen på lead-gitar.
Bandet forventer å kunne slippe sin første singel på nyåret og ser frem til å høste litt live-erfaring utover høsten og vinteren.

Dårlig Hjort is a pop-punk powertrio from Oslo whom all enjoyed a stereotypical suburban Disney childhood: No dads that ran off, no mothers on wellfare, no broken bones, but always that one girl that got away or that summer holiday with the boys we wanted to relive. The music is hefty inspired by the 90’s US West Coast music culture, ranging from Decendents and Rancid to Sublime and Goldfinger, all the way through blink-182 and NOFX. Their lyrics in Norwegian usually circle around the topics of growing up, losing out, looking back, or falling in love.The boys have received acclaimed critics for their live shows, enthusiasm, singalong melodies, and the catchy tunes.
Their debut album, “Kunne vært verre” (“Could’ve been worse” –eng. transl.), is a scant dozen stories of somewhat simple and somewhat difficult topics that affect a seasoned kid or young grownup’s life –even more maybe the transition between the two. We’re talking love, partying and hangovers, but also the pressure from working a career, expectations and responsibilities that comes with age.
“Sometimes we wish we could run away from everything and chill off in a hammock on a desert islandwhile staring at the sun. Still, we acknowledge there are a lot of people out there, which lives are much worse than ours. It could’ve been worse.”
The album was released in January 2016 on HighTen Records in January 2016. The release party was held at the small stage of Parkteatretin Oslo (NOR), and the showcompletely sold out. The recording was produced in PhatCat Studios (Oslo), and Thirdblock Productionsshot the two accompanying music videos.
SUPPORT: KOMPASS
After a year of writing, Eivinn Arctander is finally taking his new project "Kompass" to the stage! He has found inspiration in typical New Jersey punk and is making simple Norwegian rock with a touch of punk and a hint of country. The songs are driven by Arctander's strong vocal and he is accompanied by the musical genious Magnus Karoliussen on lead guitar.
The band expects to release their first single this spring and is looking forward to gain live-experience before that.
