Samana Rising har vært aktive siden 2016. Bandet er kjent for et lydbilde der de blander ulike stilarter som rock, pop, blues og soul, for å skape en musikk som låter slik jærsk farse smaker. Man hører at de har sitt hovedkvarter på Orre, et sted så jærsk som det kan få blitt.
Samana Rising gav tre singler i løpet av 2017 og 2018, før debutalbumet «Days Without You» ble lansert i april 2020. Jørgen Manke var produsent, og innspillingen foregikk i studioet Storyteller Recording på Kvernaland. Albumet ble gitt ut på både LP og CD, i tillegg til digital distribusjon. Det ble laget musikkvideoer til låtene «Another Day» og «Too Tiny». Sistnevnte ble regissert av amerikanske Alexander AD, og filmet i California og på Orrestranda. Alexander har også stått for coverdesign på alle bandets utgivelser.
Samana Rising har spilt en rekke konserter siden starten, og stått på de fleste scener i Stavanger og på Jæren. En pandemi og et par barnefødsler har ført til at bandet har hatt enkelte pauser, men det er et tilbakelagt stadium. Nå satses det igjen for fullt, med konserter og ikke minst ny musikk i løpet av våren 2023!
På scenen er Samana Rising kjent for å spille tett og energisk, med vokalist Hanne Sivertsen som et naturlig midtpunkt. De siste årene har hun også fått god støtte av korist Henriette Hodne. Med to gitarister som ikke er soloredde, og en rytmeseksjon som lever for groove, går du aldri feil når du går for Samana Rising!

Kverneland Rockeklubb fronter rock og andre musikkopplevelser på Kvernaland. Vi arrangerer konserter i flere formater og skal være en musikkformiddler som leverer gode musikkopplevelser for publikum og artister.
