Olav Duun (1876-1939) har status blant de fremste i norsk litteratur, og i år er det hundre år siden et av hans hovedverk, Juvikfolket, ble fullført. Dette er bøker som har det meste: spennende handling, rørende kjærlighetshistorier, dyptloddende psykologi, breie historiske beskrivelser. Likevel blir ikke disse bøkene mye lest. Det har Grethe Fatima Syéd i en årrekke arbeidet for å gjøre noe med. Hun tok doktorgrad på Duuns tekster i 2012, ga ut bok om forfatterskapet i 2015 og har skrevet et stort antall essay og artikler om forfatteren.
