Fremtiden byr på en rekke utfordringer for velferdsstaten. Vi opplevde fallende oljepriser, økende arbeidsledighet og flyktningekrise på tampen av fjoråret. Hvordan skal vi sikre velferdsstaten for kommende generasjoner? Landets to ledende tankesmier og to ungdomspolitikere møtes til debatt for å diskutere hvordan vi skal løse fremtidens utfordringer. Hvordan mener de velferdsstaten skal finansieres i fremtiden? Hvordan skal vi møte økende arbeidsledighet blant unge, og samtidig sikre jobb til våre nye landsmenn?
Det blir en time med debatt, og etter dette åpner vi for spørsmål fra publikum. Da er det også mulighet for å holde et innlegg fra landets frieste talerstol!
Onsdagsdebatten er Kulturutvalgets debattredaksjon, og arrangerer alt fra politiske til akademiske og kulturelle debatter. Onsdagsdebatten forvalter Studentersamfundets debattradisjon, og gjester «Landets Frieste Talerstol».
Kveldens ordstyrer er Taran Steingildra, masterstudent i statsvitenskap ved Universitetet i Oslo.
