Amnesty har kåret Norge til et av de verste landene i Europa når det kommer til transrettigheter. Regjeringen ble anbefalt etter rapporten "Rett til kjønn" å vurdere innføring av en tredje kjønnskategori. Nepal, India, Australia og Danmark er noen land som allerede har en slik ordning. Vil dette kunne hjelpe transkjønnede i Norge? Er det i det hele tatt mulig å innføre uten at det går flere tiår før den får effekt? Skal “hen” bli en del av den juridiske praksisen?
Det blir en time med debatt, og etter dette åpner vi for spørsmål fra publikum. Da er det også mulighet for å holde et innlegg fra landets frieste talerstol!
Onsdagsdebatten er Kulturutvalgets debattredaksjon, og arrangerer alt fra politiske til akademiske og kulturelle debatter. Onsdagsdebatten forvalter Studentersamfundets debattradisjon, og gjester «Landets Frieste Talerstol».
