Vi ønsker deg hjertelig velkommen til 1. klasse samtidsteater og Drama og Teater årsstudium sin produksjon av Heksejakt!
Vår produksjon er basert på Arthur Millers "The Crucible".
The Crucible er en dramatisert og delvis fiksjonalisert historie om Salem-hekseprosessene som fant sted i Massachusetts Bay Colony i løpet av 1692–93.
En natt, i skogholtet utenfor Salem by, samler den karibiske trollkvinnen Tituba byens barn til et åndelig rituale. Byens prest, Pastor Parris, finner sin egen datter, Betty, blant ritualets deltakere. Betty blir like etter truffet av en mystisk sykdom, og byen mistenker at trolldom ligger til grunne.Pastor Hale, en ekspert fra en annen by, blir hyret inn til å etterforske. Byens innbyggere blir overbevist om at det hele skyldes mørke, konspiratoriske krefter. Det tar ikke lang tid før kaoset sluker byen og anklagene om hekseri løper løpsk.Den standhaftige bonden John Proctor forstår at noe må gjøres om byen skal reddes, og akter å lede folket tilbake til fornuften.
