HEKA
Unforgettable sensory journeys in a chamber that dances with sound.
—
We now invite you to experience the chamber with the tones of classical pianist and composer Andreas Ihlebæk in a handful of intimate performances.
—
What is the HEKA chamber?
HEKA is an 80sqm chamber purposefully built to extract you from the boundaries of the material world and provide an immersive space for you to get in touch with your senses and be present. The floors are designed for you to lay down on, and the ceiling provides a visual representation of any sound made inside the chamber.
—
What are the shows like?
Shows and concerts in the HEKA chamber are highly intimate as we wish to facilitate meaningful experiences for each and everyone. The audience is asked to lie down, so wearing clothing that allows for this is advised. Our wish is for people to be present in this experience, so mobile phones are not allowed. Cheering or applauding is also not encouraged, as this journey is more about yourself than the artist. The artist is only here to provide an auditory vessel for your own journey. Andreas Ihlebæk will play piano pieces specially composed for the HEKA chamber. There are no speakers in the chamber, so every sound you hear is straight from the source.
The shows last for about an hour.

The venue
We have built the HEKA chamber inside of Tad Galleri’s large hall. The gallery opened in September of 2024 and is a brand new addition to Oslo’s growing art scene. As a part of Tad Oslo, the gallery has a full bar and a beautiful space to hang out. Tad is located at Drammensveien 130, Building B. If you are traveling by public transport, the gallery is about 1 min walk from the Thune stop at Skøyen.
