Kniven i ilden, første bok i serien Sanger fra ishavet, gjorde sto suksess hos både kritikere og lesere i 2022 og ble tildelt Brageprisen.
Denne høsten kommer andre bok i serien; Vestersand. Boken oss med til Neiden og Pykeijä, til hvalfangst og tømmerbygging, til snøhav og sauna, til livsfarlig sjalusi og stor kjærlighet.
Året er 1862. Brita Caisa slipper ut fra fengsel i Pykeijä. Høygravid tråkker hun i snødrevet, hun vet ikke hvor hun skal ta veien. Kjæresten Mikko soner fremdeles for deres forargelige samliv. Han vet ennå ikke at Brita Caisa bærer barnet deres i magen. Hun drømmer om et hjem, en tømmerpirtti.
Ingeborg Arvola er fra Tromsø. Hun har sterk tilknytning til Sør-Varanger kommunen og Neiden. Hun debuterte i 1999 med romanen Korellhuset og har siden skrevet en rekke bøker for både barn og voksne.
Arrangeres i samarbeid med Grimstad Folkeakademi.
