Elfrida Andrée ble født i Visby i 1841 og var en svensk komponist, organist og dirigent.
Hun var en pioner på mange mange områder. Som 16-åring ble hun den første kvinnen i Sverige til å ta organisteksamen. Noen år senere bidro hun og faren til en lovendring som tillot kvinner å søke organiststillinger, i tillegg til en lovendring for at kvinner kunne jobbe i telegrafyrket.
På 1860-tallet fikk Elfrida Andrée jobb i begge yrkene, som den første kvinnen i Europa til å være domkirkeorganist, og blant de første kvinnene i landet til å jobbe på Telegrafverket.
Hennes rundt hundre komposisjoner, mange av dem store verk, plasserte henne også i den til da fullstendig mannsdominerte komponisteliten.
Hun dirigerte ved flere anledninger selv sine orkesterverk, noe som også var høyst uvanlig på den tiden. Hennes første pianotrio i c-moll, som ble skrevet mens hun var student, ble ikke utgitt før 2004, 75 år etter hennes død. Pianotrio i g-moll skrev hun i 1883, og den ble et av hennes mest populære verk.
