Agathe Backer Grøndahl var en av Norges fremste kunstere, kjent som en fremragende pianist og komponist. På denne konserten får man oppleve hennes storartede, uttrykksfulle, sjarmerende og virtuose musikk .
Suite op. 40 av Edvard Grieg- Fra Holbergs tid, Suite i gammel stil
Holberg-suiten ble skrevet til ære for Ludvig Holberg.Grieg har benyttet barokkens suitestil og formprinsipper for å gjenskape stemninger fra Holbergs tid, samtidig som han evner å la musikken gjennomsyres av sin egen personlige stil. Det har blitt hevdet at han fikk inspirasjonen til dette verket i Lofthus i Hardanger. Grieg skal spøkefullt ha omtalt suiten som et Parykkstykke

Cristian Grøvlen
Christian Grøvlen is one of Norways leading performing artists and Director of KODE Composers Homes. He is a recipient of the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize, Robert Levin Prize and the Arts Council Grant Norway. He made his debut in Copenhagen in October 2017 and has since then made his debuts with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in February 2019 and with the National Opera Orchestra in Oslo in February 2020.
His first album with keyboard works by Bach was recorded on the acclaimed Norwegian Label 2L and was released summer 2017 to great reviews and was voted among the top recordings in Norway that year by Morgenbladet. His second album “Eventyr”of norwegian piano works was released on 2L in March 2021.
Grøvlen is noted for his imaginative, poetic and virtuosic playing, and he is also a composer. He is passionate about communicating the arts and to bring young people and members of the community in contact with music.

Stavanger Internasjonale Pianofestival stiftet av Kutin Konsertforening. Festivalen ønsker pianospillere og pedagoger, eksperter og entusiaster velkommen til noen av Rogalands mest historiske arenaer, som St.Petri kirke, Stavanger Konserthus, Kuppellhallen og Sandnes kirke.
Festivalen finner sted andre helgen i mars 2023 på tre konsertarenaer. Åpningskonserten og den vil bli arrangert i naturskjønne St.Petri kirke 10. mars. med plass til ca. 900 personer, beliggende i hjertet av Stavanger den 10. mars. De øvrige konsertene arrangeres i St.Petri kirke og Sandnes kirke - en menighetskirke til Den norske kirke i Sandnes kommune i Rogaland fylke. .
Festivalen arrangerer to konserter i Kuppelhallen søndag 12. mars, først kl. 14.00 dedikert til Sergei Rachmaninov, etterfulgt av den spesielle avslutningsseremonien - "Gala"-konsert kl. 19.00. hvor den årlige festivalen gir muligheten til å vise frem instrumentalister med fremragende musikerskap, teknikk og artisteri som solister.
