Folkpop- og nordicanaartisten Inger-Katrin fra Beiarn kommer til Piccadilly i Bodø 3.juni 2023. Hun slapp sitt første album ved navn Keepsafe i 2020, et album som ble omtalt av Stavanger Aftenblad som "frisk folkpop av den typen som inntok listene da engelske Mumford & Sons ga ut sitt første album i 2009"(Geir Flatøe, 2020). Etter å ha spilt konserter i og rundt Oslo, begynte hun innspillingen av sitt andre album nesten samtidig som en viss pandemi herjet verden. Selv om dette førte til en litt langsommere innspillingsprosess enn ønskelig, er Inger-Katrin endelig klar med flere singler og ny plate i 2023. Hun beholder røttene sine godt plantet i americana, med innslag av soul og country.
Inger-Katrin har en unik formidlingsevne på scenen og rører ved både gode og vonde følelser gjennom sangen. Ofte kan man sitte igjen med en befriende følelse og fornyet håp etter endt konsert.
Med seg på Piccadilly har Inger-Katrin Martinius Solum på gitar og kor, kjent fra blant annet The Voice. Han har spilt elektrisk gitar og banjo på Keepsafe og det forestående albumet.
Organiser
Bodø Bluesklubb ble stiftet i 1999, og har holdt det gående siden da. Klubben skal fremme blues og næret beslektet musikk i regionen. Klubben forsøker gjennom synlighet og engasjement eller i kulturbildet å ivareta bluesens interesser som musikkform og hevde blues på lik linje med annen kulturell virksomhet. Klubben har over flere år forsøkt å stimulere og promotere unge utøvere til utøvelse av blues og beslektede musikkformer, og vil også fortsette med dette i framtiden.
