Da er vi veldig stolte av å kunne annonsere at Greg Izor kommer til Bodø for å spille hos Bodø Bluesklubb i bryggerilokalene til Bådin fredag 17.Mars! Greg er en av de mest meritterte munnspillerne og bluessangerne fra musikkmiljøet i New Orleans og Austin, og har spilt og turnert med en rekke store navn innen bluessjangeren. Her kan nevnes Anson Funderburgh, Pinetop Perkins, Gary Primich, Derek O’Brien, Denny Freeman, Marcia Ball og ikke minst tidligere engasjerte musikere fra the Fabulous Thunderbirds’ Mike Keller, Johnny Moeller, Nick Curran og en rekke andre storheter.Greg har besøkt Bodø flere ganger tidligere, sist gang for 10 år siden, så nå er det på tide med gjensyn. Denne gangen supporteres han av bandet Deja Voodoo Trio bestående av Kai Fjellberg på gitar, Per Øyvind Winther på trommer og Raymond Bartholdsen på bass!Her gjelder det å sikre seg billetter!Velkommen til en kveld med autentisk blues, i et veldig spennende lokale!

Bodø Bluesklubb ble stiftet i 1999, og har holdt det gående siden da. Klubben skal fremme blues og næret beslektet musikk i regionen. Klubben forsøker gjennom synlighet og engasjement eller i kulturbildet å ivareta bluesens interesser som musikkform og hevde blues på lik linje med annen kulturell virksomhet. Klubben har over flere år forsøkt å stimulere og promotere unge utøvere til utøvelse av blues og beslektede musikkformer, og vil også fortsette med dette i framtiden.
