"Noć bogova" dolazi i u Beograd zahvaljujući želji Lutkića, Ćetkovića i Ilića da ožive "karaktere koji su arhetipski, a opet se nalaze u svakodnevnom životu današnjice".
Jedne večeri na desetogodišnjicu prijateljstva kralj Luj XIV (Ćetković), dvorska luda (Lutkić) i pisac Molijer (Ilić) se zajedno opijaju evocirajući uspomene na prohujala vremena. Usred veselja, kralj otkriva da je saznao da njih dvojica igraju farsu o njemu u kojoj ga ismejavaju, pa prisiljava svoje prijatelje da tu farsu odigraju samo za njega.
- Komad stavlja svoje junake na muke kojima su ljudi izloženi od kad žive u zajednicama. Čovek koji je razapet između želje da uradi ono što oseća da je pravedno I načina kako mora da živi u svetu i odnosi se prema moćnijima od sebe. Kako moćniji od nas nikad nisu sigurni u našu ljubav i da li je ona samo iz interesa ili je iskrena. I da li su najmoćniji I dalje uopšte ljudi kao mi ostali? - objašnjavaju glumci.
